Decentraland has seen a high level of activity as celebrities as well as organizations on a global scale are hosting events, parties, and even non-fungible token (NFT) giveaways.
Some of the upcoming events within Decentraland, which have sparked a high level of hype, include Comedy Decentral, Boy George Live in Vegas City, and the Mic Drop Comedy Festival. In fact, Decentraland became the first Metaverse with a JPMorgan branch.

Pushing Ahead

The upcoming events planned to occur within the world of Decentraland aren’t a surprise because Decentraland has become a top destination for celebrities and organizations that can host events, parties, celebrations, and even NFT giveaways.

The most popular events that have taken place within the Metaverse so far were the streaming of the Australian Open, alongside Samsung launching their new Galaxy smartphones.

CoinMarketCap has ranked Decentraland’s native cryptocurrency token, MANA, 30th in terms of market capitalization.

The SAND token, which is the native token behind a metaverse competitor known as The Sandbox, is in the 38th spot, not far behind. That said, the current price of MANA is currently $2.28.

- Decentraland is not a new concept and has been around for several years, so despite the recent increase in popularity after Meta’s announcement for the Metaverse, this project always had a lot of backing behind it.
